Painted Caves Loop

Painted Caves Loop

A woman wearing a wide-brimmed hat taking a photo of ancient cave paintings of animals on a rock wall.

The Loop combines both the Santa Teresa and San Gregorio canyon trails into a circuit that connects different rock art sites and ranch communities. It’s a flexible, longer, route that gives a wide perspective of the Sierra — from canyon bottoms to high ridges — while still including visits to the famous painted caves.
