Ridges and Oasis: Sierra de la Giganta

Ridges and Oasis: Sierra de la Giganta

A person riding a horse across a rocky riverbed in a desert landscape with cacti and hills in the background.

Our most popular short trip in the Sierra de la Giganta, set up to explore the mountains and ranches and real backcountry of the Baja peninsula.

The journey includes a stop at a local ranch to learn how to make the traditional regional goat cheese and hand made flour tortillas, riding through the desert and then a camping at or near beautiful local ranches and waterholes.

A man sitting on a folding chair chopping vegetables next to camping gear, with a small campfire burning nearby. In the background, three other people are near a tent amidst desert plants and cacti.
