Mules and Pools: Sierra de la Giganta

Mules and Pools: Sierra de la Giganta

A person riding a horse across a rocky riverbed in a desert landscape with cacti and hills in the background.

Our most popular short trip in the Sierra de la Giganta, set up to explore the mountains and ranches of the Baja peninsula in two days

The journey includes, on day one, a stop at a local ranch to learn how to make the traditional regional goat cheese and hand made flour tortillas, a few hours riding in the desert and then a camp at a beautiful local ranch.

On day two we ride up a canyon to a desert oasis pool for a swim and a lunch time, and after packing up camp we end the adventure in the village of San Javier where we explore the mission and gardens before heading back to Loreto.
